Marble with a strong texture, with a green background covered with orange, chestnut and dark brown branches.
The Forest green is actually a lesser-known type of stone called serpentinite, a rock composed of one or more minerals from the serpentine group.
It is a metamorphic rock (like marble) that has undergone serpentization, a set of chemical and mechanical reactions at relatively low temperatures that have produced this material on the ocean floor and then rise to the surface.

Eero Saarinen conceived the Tulip table in the early 1940s as part of the research promoted by the MOMA in New York, entitled "Organic design in home furnishing collection".
The Saarinen table and chair surely represent the most famous creations of Eero Saarinen and perfectly photograph both the designer's ability to combine shapes, colors and materials, and his propensity for minimalist design.
